An Idea That Could Change Everything

Okay so it's very likely that I don't have to be the one to paint the picture for you of what life on Earth is looking like right now for the human species. What many people are facing is a smack in the face so large it could knock out Chuck Norris (rest in peace).

So what do we do about it?

Some folks are talking about the solar punk revolution (which I think is an incredible idea), other folks are talking about renting a huge house with your friends and keep turning over people to rent the individual rooms as each relationship inevitably doesn't work out until you've landed on the correct people who will go the distance with you and then you build an off grid intentional community together (which I also think is an incredible idea).

Today I received the most intense download of my semi-aware spiritual life.

Whether or not this idea is floating out in the aether or if other folks have mentioned it online already I have no idea, but to the best of my awareness it came directly through me and I need to share it with the world.

Picture a completely New Earth municipality.

I'm not talking about dogma, or a cult, or anything exclusive or rigid, I mean imagine a group of 50-150 New Earth entrepreneurs deciding with their free will to all commit together to the same one horse town. Maybe the town has a tiny gas station and a fire department and pretty much nothing else going for it except cheap land and nature, and the bliss of being far from current day civilization. Now imagine someone buys a building and turns it into a community arts center, where there is weekly live music, connection events, and maybe a farmers/makers market on the weekends. Someone starts a really beautiful cafe, a diner, a sober pub where we re-create the pub atmosphere with 0.0% alcohol beers, ciders, wines, and mocktails, some live music and pub foods. Maybe someone opens a thrift store, a wellness studio, a metaphysical shop, a health food and supplements store. Someone owns a huge plot of land where there are yearly festivals (think folk festivals, blues festivals, metal festivals, future forest, ecstatic dance). Someone starts a yoga studio, there's a reiki master there. A tiny home developer and an earth ship developer come in and create small rentable plots where someone can either own or rent a home on a shared piece of land and grow vegetables if they so wish and start their "closer to the land" life without needing to own or rent conventionally. Imagine fruit trees and wildflowers scattered through the town. Imagine a forest school for children, and a montessori/waldorf style day care, shared homeschooling and unschooling projects, a small conventional school with a connection based New Earth mindset and playgrounds or other child friendly activities throughout the town. Imagine a handful of intentional communities within the larger community, where folks figure out the best living situation for however many people are involved in their chosen families. Imagine a foraging group, a herbalist. Imagine folks who fish or hunt, not for sport but for the community as a whole. Imagine an organic garden nursery, a seed shop, a plant shop. Maybe there's a sourdough bakery, a gluten free bakery, a whole foods or vegan cake shop. There's plumbers, electricians, carpenters, someone who understands solar energy. The entire community is wheelchair accessible.

I bet I could sit here for another hour and still not come up with the amount of businesses that could be involved in this sort of project.

The concept would essentially be that there are no franchises connected to the massive corporations pillaging the planet, it's all locally owned small business. Every resource we could ever need as a human society is all sprinkled around the community, you never have to leave (but you're free to).

Maybe it's within a certain driving distance (oh that reminds me, a taxi driver could be a great idea too!) to a major chain grocery store or hardware store or hospital... I'm not talking completely cut off from society, I'm just saying that the community itself is thriving as much as possible without the help of conglomerates.

Maybe some folks have online jobs or commute to the city and bring money in, the place could be a tourist trap and welcome folks in from all over to see what it's like there and be inspired. And when things get too real for folks still operating completely in old earth, we start seeing new faces around because a micro-new-earth has already been created.

Imagine an arts and culture hub so beautiful and alive, and centred around community and belonging and connection that we literally take care of each other, you're always welcome and there is always somewhere to socialize. Imagine people who grow their own food having so much food that it makes more sense for them to just drop the excess off at the community center for anyone to come and take for free so it doesn't go to waste. And imagine an agreement where if the world totally and complete goes to shit, we keep the community going without a financial exchange.

Come as you are, you are loved, we are one, together.
